So. I think my town was totally tricked by a particularly sneaker April Fools prankster yesterday. Just imagine! A small historical town that thrives on tourism with an adult store between the local deli and newsagent in the main street... With real international models at the grand opening and all!

The Scandal!! The uproar!! ...The hilarity!

Whoever the bugger was that set it up really knew how to get the town talking, that's for sure. I dunno how they managed to get into the old chemist building seeing as who owns it definately does not seem the hahailaughatyousillytown! type, but they did and WHAMMO! Friday afternoon the shop was bare and Saturday morning it was shrouded in tasteful black fabric with half naked girlies pinned up in the window. Cue the towns folk stirring themselves into a talking frenzie (with a fair amount of cackling from myself and a few others, I'm sure) and then today magically it was all gone!

Kinda sad really, that we're not really getting one. Would've been interesting, that's for sure. Ah well, at least we can say that for a day and a half York almost had a porn shop, not many other small country towns get to have that privilege.

Shannon's dad did raise a very good point though; how do you present a porn shop so that it keeps in line with the towns' heritage facade guidelines?

I totally fucking saw AFI yesterday afternoon. It was fucking RAD! I could wibble all night long, but I won't. But oh my. Davey (with fake eyelashes and orange sparkly eyeshadow!) and Jade and Adam and Hunter! In tight white clothing. Very trendy those boys are, I must say. And heeee, Smith! In a white jump suit! (Omg, so many exclamation marks!)

I'm no good at reviews of concerts (or anything for that matter), I just make googly noises and drool. I will say this though, Davey was totally doing his dandiest to be a cat. And there was lots of jumping up on Adams drum stand and making porny eyes at him, which I appriciated greatly. And they played Silver and Cold, omg!

Rightio, enough of the mindly rambling, me thinks...

It may have taken them three years to come back here, but the wait was so totally worth it. They're such precious poppets!

(This post was totally the one to break my LJ babbling drought! Talking about droughts, omg, why for are we still having such a shite one here, and WHY ARE THERE LOCUSTS?!!?)
